A One-Day Workshop Held at Rashtrasant Tukdoji College Chimur

A one-day workshop on “Importance of English Language and Personality Development in Modern Era” was organized by the Department of English and English literary Association on 18 March 2025.

The chief resource person for the workshop was Ms. Sanjana Rai from Rai Academy, Nagpur. The workshop was chaired by the college Principal, Dr. Ashwin M. Chandel.  Ms Rai guided the students on acquiring English language skills, emphasizing their importance for career growth in the modern world. She also taught lessons on personality development. During the workshop, students shared their quires regarding career opportunities with English language with Ms Rai who aptly addressed all their questions explaining in detailed immense potential to compete that the English language skill can create in students in the world of globalization. The workshop generated a lot of enthusiasm among students who were also guided about the English language courses available under NEP-2020 in the institute.

Asstt. Prof. Neelima Turankar introduced Ms. Rai to students while Asstt. Prof. Ashutosh Popate, Head of English, made introductory remarks in the workshop. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Asstt. Prof. Varsha Sontakke and a formal vote of thanks was offered by Asstt. Prof. Pravin Wakde.

Among the other dignitaries present were Dr. Kartik Patil, Head of the Marathi Department, and Dr. Haresh Gajbhiye, Head of the Commerce Department. The success of the workshop was due to the efforts of all faculty members, especially Asstt. Prof. Gunwant Waghmare, Asstt. Prof. Rupali Burde, and  Asstt. Prof. Sheetal Wankhade.
