The birth anniversary of Shri Vasantrao Naik, the longest-serving Chief Minister of Maharashtra, was celebrated with great respect and enthusiasm on 1 July 2025. The program aimed to honor his invaluable contributions to agriculture, rural development, and the upliftment of farmers.
The event began with the garlanding of Shri Vasantrao Naik’s portrait, followed by a brief speech by the chief guest Shri. Gajanan Chavhan who highlighted his pioneering role in implementing Green Revolution policies in Maharashtra. Students presented speeches and skits showcasing his life journey, achievements, and leadership qualities.
A special lecture was delivered by Dr. Prafull Bansod, Officiating Principal on Naik’s impact on agricultural reform and rural governance, emphasizing his progressive vision for a self-reliant Maharashtra.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Niteen Katrojwar and a resolution to follow his ideals of simplicity, dedication, and service to society, especially towards the empowerment of farmers and rural communities.
Conclusion:
The celebration was a great success in reviving the memory of Shri Vasantrao Naik’s work and in inspiring the younger generation to contribute towards nation-building with similar dedication and vision.
