On Saturday, 31st August 2024, Prevention of Sexual Harassment Cell conducted counseling of girl students. Girl students were guided about physical and mental development that girls at the stage undergo. Expertise guidance was offered on the similar issue by the speakers. Expert speakers also talked about stress management and necessity of meditation. The Cell informed girl students about the counseling session that is available to help the girls manage stress during day to day life. Chief counselor Asstt. Prof. Ms. Neelima Turankar in her address talked about the patriarchal family structure and the social constrains and code that often produce anxiety and inferiority complex among women in India. She urged girl students to be self-independent both financially. Various methods to enhance comprehension power and develop cognitive skill were also discussed in the session. Asstt. Prof. Ms. Reena Gadge told girls not to discontinue their education in midway. Helpline numbers were also disbursed among girl students. The cell also told them about a complaint box that is available for them to lodge any complaint.
