Dear Friends,
It’s an honour to be the Principal of Rashtrasant Tukdoji College, Chimur which has a legacy of its own. Since its inception in 1972 the College has grown into a multi-faceted institution catering to the needs of the rural society of Chimur. It is constantly evolving in order to keep up with the pace of the changing times. This College is not only an academic institution consisting of a building with walls but it is ingrained by its uncompromising commitment in shaping the future of its students. This institution has indeed earned a reputation of providing a holistic development in this highly competitive journey of student life. During the session-2023-24, the institution has been reaccredited by NAAC with B+ ( CGPA 2.54). Also, we successfully organized Gondwana University Gadchiroli intercollegiate women’s Kabaddi competition. The institution also organized three seminars, one national conference and two workshops. Eminent experts also visited the institution to guide students on NEP-2020. A summer camp for the underprivileged rural students on Sports and Yoga and Basic Computer Skill was organized by the Department of Physical Education and IT respectively. A separate basic computer skill certificate course was also offered to the students of junior college. During the NSS special camp at the village of Yerkheda, our volunteers worked upon variety of community oriented drives. Our three NSS volunteers were selected for the state level Avhan camp-2023. Our NSS volunteers Ku. Swati Dharane and Mr. Abhinav Girade were selected for the Republic Day parade in Mumbai. Our students Ms. Needa M. Khan and Akash U.Bobade came in the Gondwana University Gadchiroli merit list from undergraduate Commerce and Management and Humanities faculties respectively.
The college has a great historic tradition attached to it and I feel honoured to be entrusted with the responsibility. I want to welcome all students aspiring to take admission in this College where an expert Faculty awaits you who will not only impart book knowledge but also guide you with practical knowledge as well. We will ensure that your vibrant energies are well diverted to contribute to your overall development. I want to see you become smart members of the Society. Academics will never be complete without sports, and I assure you that I will leave no stone unturned to nurture the talent in you, develop and motivate you, give you confidence to become honest members of the Society.
